RESILIA (Resilience in Mental Health and Empowerment for Migrant and Displaced Women in Vulnerable Contexts) is a project co-funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Piaget (Portugal), which addresses the mental health challenges faced by cis and trans migrant and displaced women in vulnerable situations, including survivors of human trafficking and violence, as well as refugees and asylum seekers.

Operating from Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Bulgaria, the project adopts trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and gender-sensitive approaches to respond to the specific needs of these women.

RESILIA’s main objective is to provide European Union Member States with evidence-based knowledge, tools, and scalable practices to improve mental health policies and systems that serve this population. By addressing structural barriers, stigma, and discrimination, the project promotes inclusive and prevention-oriented approaches, in line with EU strategies.
